It’s with mixed feelings that we both celebrate and mourn the long lived life of our dearest Ezinne! who passed onto glory, our hearts are heavy because we will miss you deeply and we are so grateful to God that our paths crossed in this lifetime and God preserved your life for so long that we were able to be part it.
You came into our lives through the marriage of your daughter, Nkiru, to our nephew and cousin, Ken, but we have even become closer than family, we’ve had our good times, we spent time with each other when you lived with your daughter in Abuja, you will always walk down to visit us whenever you are chanced and we did the same, you were full of life and very cheerful, always having meaningful conversations, you even took out your time to teach Somto how to make Abacha, the way Udi people made it very dry with dried peppers only and since then that how we make it. If we keep writing we will fill the whole book.
As far as we remember you were always healthy and you lived a beautiful life, you are really what we Igbo’s we call “Nwachi ne melu” because rarely do people live such beautiful life.
Ezinne and our mother, Ngozi both shared a wonderful bond of friendship, love and admiration, and our mummy always sent you the monthly devotional “Everyday with JESUS”and even when mummy forgot to send it, you will always remind her to send it because you loved it so much, one of the various bonds they shared that made them closer and she was also in every public event in Ezinne’s life. Whenever she was in Enugu she always visited Ezinne. Congratulations to you Ezinne for a life well lived and thank you for sharing it with us.
Ngozi, Elochukwu and Somto…
