Most of my early memories were her staying with us helping my parents take care of us when they weren't around either that or she'll be focused on her farm and at a tender age I wondered why she didn't want to rest but as I got older I understood that she wasn't someone that was easily tied down and didn't allow her old age to control her body. Mama, you were a star that could not be snuffed out, always calling to check in and praying for us. Your death was a painful one but it wasn't to be mourned but to be celebrated for the 99 years you've lived with the ever expanding family you've made. Your legacy lives on through the countless lives you've touched, the values you've instilled, and the love you've shared. Rest in peace, dear Grandma.
